Gerald told me that right afer you spill it, you should pour a bunch of salt on it to soak the liquid up out of the carpet, wait till it dries and then vacuum it up. If you waited until the coffee dried already...we'll then go get a chair :)
i've heard that baking soda is the best to soak it up (when it's still wet). you were there when i spilled my dr. pepper on matt's carpet, right??? why did you spill the coffee anyways??? :) mandy
Well, friends, I thank you all for your kind suggestions. If only you'd been there with me when the incident occurred. Unfortunately, I suspect that the coffee was well dried by the time your outpouring of assistance began. Perhaps the next time I spill the coffee (I'm sure it will happen again), I'll have the presence of mind to recall some of your helpful hints.
Bri, Mandy.... I wish I could blame it on something as excusable as caffeine addiction. However, I fear I must confess that the source of the problem is just extreme klutziness. Grace and elegance elude me once again. *sigh*
I am a German-American cultural mutt; I love my family and my friends; I believe that Jesus sacrificed himself for the eternal freedom of humanity; I am passionate about my faith, my husband, and my creativity; and I want to suck the marrow out of life. That pretty much sums it up. Also, I like chocolate and coffee.

Just make sure the spot is always covered by a chair.
Perhaps you could spill some sugar and creamer too...

I think she was a little too eager to get her caffeine fix...sounds like a case of coffee addiction to me...
