We are all going to really miss that crazy cat. She was so funny and we loved her.

I know you miss Ripley! I didn't get much of a chance to get to know her, but we were just starting to become friends after a rocky start. It's always hard to lose a pet, because they truly become part of the family!
love you!!

April: Thanks, April. I really miss her a lot. It's good to know that other people feel that way, too. :o)

Karen: I wish you could've gotten to know her better! I think she liked you after she realized you were going to be around more often--she just had an odd way of showing it. ;o)
Love you too!

Though I'm quite late in saying this (hey, I just my internet back!), I feel that I should say something since I had a hand in choosing her name. Also, I've had cats too numerous to count as friends, pets and listeners and so the fact invaritably follows that I would also have suffered my fair share of cat-deaths in various (and sometimes nefarious) ways. All that to say---I'm truly sorry. And I truly love Ed's quote. And Olivia will miss her more than anyone I think. :-(

Thanks so much, Bri. It's still hard, but every day is better. At least I no longer expect her to greet me at the door when I get home. I know what you mean about Olivia missing Ripley, too. I had to explain to 7-year-old Nina that "die schwarze Katze" died--and Nina's family owns Ripley's mom. It was a hard conversation for me, but I had to tell her. After all, I can't lie to her every time she asks about the black kitty.
Anyway...thanks for the thoughts. I appreciate the empathy a lot.
