continuing the no-wheat-or-milk-products diet....

......and, as a result, lost another 2 pounds this past week. That makes a total of 11.5 pounds I've lost in the last two months. I don't know if this new diet is going to affect my health in a positive way or not...but I sure am enjoying the weight-loss side effects.

I now have only one pair of jeans that still fits right: the pair that used to look spray-painted on. All the others are now a size too big.

I like it. ;o)

Addendum: Bri suggested that this post is lacking the fact that I am also avoiding white sugar and anything containing it, and I must say that she is absolutely right in her assessment.

Pbbbbtthhh (that's me blowing a raspberry at you as I sit here with my ginormous 37-week belly)!! Just kidding, that's great! I have heard that dairy is a big factor in sinus problems, hope that this new diet will give you the health you want. Gotta say, though, no way could I live without cheese...more power to you!

Thanks, Lana! Honestly, I thought that I'd be absoltely unable to function without cheese and chocolate. But now, I've gotten used to going without (exceot on Saturdays, when I eat whatever I want!), and I don't even crave it anymore.
And don't worry about your belly--after all, you're doing something very important with it! I'm excited for you! :o)

I'm proud of ya for sticking to your diet, Court! Especially while we sat in all those cafe's and you just drank your tea (okay and perhaps shared a few bites of our desserts, but big deal!). You're a good motivation to me. Now, if I could only stay away from bread! It's so hard!

Drinking tea?!? I thought you were a die-hard coffee junkie! Or is no caffeine part of the new, improved Courtney as well?

I think, just to be fair, that you should also include no-major-forms-of-sugar in your "no-wheat-or-milk-products" diet. So, to be genuine, it should read no-wheat-or-milk-products-or-major-forms-of-suar diet" :)

Amy: You have no idea how hard it was to resist the Topfenstrudel! And, this weekend, Pam's lasagne and brownies, and the cooking dough while I was baking today! I confess, I had a big helping of lasagne yesterday, and two brownies and cookie dough today.....My self-control definitely met its match this weekend. But I don't have too many regrets...I've been doing well, and I wanted a treat! ;o)

Lana: Unfortunately, though my love of coffee hasn't changed, coffee did have to go the way of the milk and wheat. I can't drink coffee black, so I always drank it with milk and sugar. Obviously, the milk and sugar had to go....and with it my precious coffee! :o(

Bri: You're right, I'll have to write an addendum to clarify the nature of the diet. Or lifestyle change, rather. When you do get to a point at which you can join me, I'll definitely be there to help ya! It definitely requires having a good support system. :o)
