a blogging etiquette question

For those of you reading this, I've got a few questions for ya. For those of you not reading this...it's not gonna affect you one way or the other, so stop not reading. ;o)

Anyway...I'm just curious:

Do you leave comments on the blogs of people you don't know?
If so, then why?
If not, why not?

Hello Court

Yes, I do, occasionally, if I like what they have to say (or hate it). Most people like having comments left for them, even disapproving ones; I certainly do - it shows someone is reading my blog.

I don't usually leave comments on blogs of those I don't know, but then again it's rare for me to read the blog of someone I don't know. I occasionally do but I have enough people I know who blog that it keeps me occupied.

I never read anyone else's blog besides yours. No one else is funny enough for me. hehe

Not usually, but sometimes I will if I'm very moved by what they wrote, or if I really like their blog. There are a few people I have met just through blogging - one I have now met in person.

Tony: I know what you mean...it's nice to know that there's someone out there reading, even if their comments aren't appreciative or meaningful! ;o)

Matt: I'm notcing that my "Blogs of Friends" list is getting unmanageably long. On the other hand, hardly anyone's been posting on a regular basis lately, so it hasn't been too hard to keep up with! Or up with which to keep. Or something.

Amy: Don't put me up on a pedestal, dear. I might fall off and hit my head, and then you wouldn't have any more Courtney-blog to read.

Mucusarus: It's good to have a friend in slime. I hope you get to eat something yummy again someday. I, for one, am missing cheese and chocolate like crazy. But tomorrow's Saturday, and that means once-a-week chocolate-chip pancakes! :o)
I wish you all the best in slime-fighting!

Karen: That's neat! I do comment on others' blogs sometimes, but not enough that I've gotten to know anyone well enough to want meet them. Of course, most of them are in the States, and since I'm on another continent, the question is moot anyway. ;o)
